**Due to the rise in participants and cost of supplies, we will be charging a small fee for non-members to attend our practice events this year.

DEADLINE FOR SIGN-UP IS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2024. YOUR REGISTRATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY THIS DATE TO COMPETE.

7:30 - 8:00	Arrival, check in, devotion
8:00 - 9:30	Debate Round 1
9:30 - 11:00	Speech Round 1
11:00 - 11:45	Lunch (We will have a group lunch order available)
11:45- 1:15	Debate Round 2
1:15 - 2:45	Speech Round 2
2:45 - 4:15	Debate Round 3
4:15 - 5:00	Clean-up, re-set rooms, closing assembly

Note: Both TP and LD rounds will begin at the times above

WHAT TO WEAR

Dress code is per NCFCA rules. (Please go to https://ncfca.org/policies/dress-code-policy/ for more details). However, if you don’t have a suit or dress outfit yet, just come as professional looking as possible.

CASE LIST FOR TEAM POLICY COMPETITORS

In order to compete in team policy debate at this marathon, you must be on our BRSD Marathon Case List. You will enter the name of your case as part of the marathon registration. Once your registration is complete, the case list administrator will email you a link to the case list and questions about your case within 24 hours. Once your case is properly added to the list you will then be given access to the caselist. We will share the case list with your team, and you will be able to see everyone else's case. The benefit of the case list is that you are able to prepare for the negative arguments against the other cases being run at the marathon.

Case List Rules:

1. You may only have 1 case on the marathon case list and you MUST run the case you have listed at the marathon.

2. All cases must be listed at the time of sign-up for the marathon.

3. All relevant details must be listed in the title of your case. **Vague case titles will not be tolerated.

**What is constituted as a vague case title will be left up to the administrator.

4. No cases should be revealed by people on the case list to people not on the case list.

5. Other case list rules may be implemented by the case list administrator.

5. Lastly, remember that while the debate is competitive, we should do it with integrity because our ultimate goal is to honor God. Although we are debating each other, in the end, we are all working together to grow in our speaking so that we might give glory to Him, so let's debate that way!

We intend for each student to be able to practice all of the speeches for which they sign up; however, it is possible that there may not be enough room for each student to participate in all three speech categories. Juniors' activities and speech practice will be offered during the debate rounds for this marathon for students under age 12.
